While watching before it ended I was so sure the story was going to be about him being in love with Marty.

In my head, that was the secret second movie going on underneath. THAT SAID, I really liked how those two told each other "I love you" as best friends, bromance, etc whatever. Because in depictions of male friendship, they almost never verbalize these things. Gay or not gay, their relationship was kind of sweet (for such a hilariously super-violent film).

Sam Rockwell is totally adorable all the time in this.

Maybe it's Sam Rockwell. Even when he plays evil there is something enduring about him. He looks like a puppy that has been left out in the rain.

I loved the crap out of Billy Bickle, and a good part of that has to be Sam Rockwell's amazing portrayal. And I'm not sure I shipped Billy/Marty--though I would probably not turn down Colin Farrell and Sam Rockwell making out, heck yeah--but I loved their friendship so much. The fact that Billy was actively trying to be a good friend to Marty despite his psychosis really touched me. In a way, you can say that everything that happened in the desert was Billy trying to help Marty--or, at least, that could be how Billy perceived it.

Now I want to learn more about their friendship, did Billy come before Kaya, was he around when Marty wrote his first successful screenplay...

I take it back. I'm remembering how nervous Billy was before going to Marty and Kaya's party and yeah I totally ship it.

Oh my god, I shipped them too! WE ARE NOT ALONE! *does a dance of joy*
I wasn't sure if they were going to go canon or not, but there were moments where I was like "he seems kinda jealous of Marty's girlfriend, way too jealous, he even made a note to himself to remember to be nice to her because that's how normal people are supposed to act ... and then he puts together all this elaborate stuff just so Marty can write a script ... this goes beyond the devotion of a good friend, even a crazy friend ..."

There should be fanfic out there. There really should. Crazy devoted friend fanfic. While they're out there getting high and drunk in the desert. Come one, internet, it's not that hard "sharing body heat leads to something more ..." the fic practically writes itself here!


I started relating to Marty way too much during the movie (a writer surrounded by crazy friends struggling to stay sane and failing abysmally) and started thinking "what if Marty and Billy were played by women?" (because I'm a woman and thus look nothing like the lovely Mr. Farrell.) That would have changed the movie too much, but it was fun to muse on as I left the theater with my friends. Fem!Billy clinging to Fem!Marty and giggling and falling asleep on her shoulder ... awwwwwww ...

Seven Psychopaths! I loved that movie! Sam Rockwell was great. Everyone in it was awesome. I totally shipped him with Marty.

Nothing to say except god I loved this film. I don't know if I shipped them but I definitely adored their friendship, and I think I loved almost all the characters. ♥

I identified way too much with Billy. Definitely not something I should admit to.

I'm happy to admit how much I love this movie, though. Soooo goooood.
