Idk, I really like Bucky/Natasha in the comics, but in the movies I am 100% Clint/Natasha. I'm all for angst past!Bucky/Natasha, and - no wait. Meurgh. If it happens, anon, you can have my tears, but I won't be raging about it :/

(I started off writing a perfectly reasonable no, I'd be fine if Bucky/Natasha happened, but that failed. oop.)

I think it may be a case of things seeming more wanky from the outside? All I know is the whining I saw on Tumblr about the possibility of Natasha/Bucky after people found out the title of the new Cap movie was pretty monumental. And there's been some Bobbi bashing on the side.

The secret is directed at the completely OTT people, though. I know a lot of people who'd be upset with Natasha/Bucky but wouldn't be raging assholes or spam tags with hate about it. My being a jerk and getting pleasure from wank aside, I do hope that things go down in a way that you can still enjoy.

There has been a lot of wank on both sides. When those comic images came out of Clint and Natasha kissing, the Natasha/Bucky shippers produced some pretty spectacular wank.

I don't read many of the comics, but if IIRC, a lot of the Natasha/Bucky shippers got up in arms about Clint and Natasha kissing because Bucky and Natasha were currently in a several years long relationship in canon and Clint also had a girlfriend. A lot of people thought Clint and Natasha kissing seemed completely out of left field and like Bendis was ignoring continuity for the sake of appeasing shippers.

Actually, it was a while ago but for a stretch it was hard to hit up the Mockingbird/Bobbi Morse tags or the Clint Barton/Hawkeye tags (and I'm going to assume the Black Widow/Natasha Romanov ones were bad too) without seeing a TON of "OMG THIS CHARACTER SUCKS BECAUSE THEY BLOCK MY SHIP!" posts. I have no doubt there was a similar reaction when Natasha's involvement in CA2 was announced.
