It's still squicky and fucked-up, for the same reason it's still fucked up when she's REALLY 8000 YEARS OLD in whatever Japanese wankbait.

it'd be less fucked up if those characters actually aged mentally. some do.

Well, considering Ralph, after 30 years, apparently got passed the whole "I'M GONNA WRECK IT" thing and wanted to be more, what's to say she WON'T age mentally? We only see HER ust wanting to race. Maybe she'll eventually become the princess that she was coded as and then do things and get more mature.

We don;t know. And that's where fic comes in and we COULD maybe get more with them. If you ship them.

i'm basically agreeing with that point of view. i don't think it's squicky as long as the characters develop mentally. i'd hope that most people who ship them would write her as developing mentally.
