My general thoughts about this is why people are shipping Ven/Ralph when they can ship Ralph/Felix/Calhoun

But hey people ships whatever they want to ship

As much as I like age gaps in my ships, Ven/Ralph is way too squicky for me...

Because there's way more emotional connection between Ralph and Vanelope than between Ralph and the others, especially Calhoun, who he barely talks to. And that what gets lots of people into any pairing, regardless of what appear to be serious logistical or squick barriers.

In addition to what the anon below wrote, but there's also the fact that Felix and Calhoun were hooked up in the movie. I'm less interested in HOT STEAMY SEX than I am with "hook up" fic stories, so I'd like to explore how these two sort of socially awkward people express their feelings for each other and work through their differences/issues than I am by the almost gimmicky relationship that Felix and Calhoun had. (They were cute, don't get me wrong, but their relationship was almost a joke.)
