Bury it forever. Unless you believe it's an ongoing issue, some things you just bear on your own. And it's easier to say nothing when you still have doubts. There are other possibilities here.

Yeesh, are you Marcus Aurelius? I don't think the poor man had anything to say about this particular situation.

Anyway, OP, you ought to consider telling a counselor about it (if you have access to counseling services for free or cheap). They're required to not speak to your family about your concerns without your express consent, and it could help to get it off of your chest. The counselor might even be able to talk you through your suspicions and help you figure out what's going on. I think it might be worth a shot.

Marcus Aurellius also lived in a time and place when rape wasn't considered the way it was today - and possibly even committed it himself. Besides, Stoicism the philosophy [what Aurellius followed] =/= not speaking up ever.

What ING is saying is that, because there are still other possibilities, it's better for the OP not to speak up to their family because of the consequences it could have. For example, their older sibling suddenly having to deal with the news they're the product of rape [incestuous rape at that].

Fair enough, I meant in relation to family. Unless, again, it's ongoing. If you believe there's still a situation where somebody's at risk, that's different. But if, for example, it's somebody who's passed or gone, no reason to make people upset. An outside party that isn't going to leak it, such as a therapist, is fine.
