I understand being disappointed or confused to get that many hits and no comments, but is that seriously in the notes of the story? Bad form.

I'll admit that I'm often as desperate for feedback on my work as a starving man is for food, but little irritates me more in author's notes than seeing some variation of the words "I'm not posting more until I get [insert number here] reviews."

Oh wow do I HATE those. Even if I do comment, what if no one else does? (Obviously a lot of people are annoyed by this and won't comment on principal.) That kind of attitude bugs me, and isn't fair to anyone who actually likes the story either.
