(Anonymous) 2012-11-18 10:25 pm (UTC)(link)Like you said, it was for charity and I shouldn't be 'owed' something for donating, but why bother offering if you're not going to follow through. And because this person was somewhat of a BNF and because I really do like this person's writing, I ended up 'bidding' more than I'd originally budgeted for.
Just wanted you to know that you're not alone in feeling this way, OP.

(Anonymous) 2012-11-18 11:24 pm (UTC)(link)(by any chance it was a star trek fic?) because my email fucked up and i somehow could not really contact that person and at the same time i just started college in a writing intensive course and vaguely lost interest in writing fanfiction.
it's no excuse for sure because i should have contacted that person about it, but if there's anything i can do/write...

(Anonymous) 2012-11-19 01:06 am (UTC)(link)I honestly wouldn't even be that bothered if it were a situation like yours. I get that life happens and heck, I lost track of a person who I recorded a podfic for (for an auction) and ended up just posting it in the hopes they might find it. What bugs me is that the person who owed me fic is still in fandom and active on LJ, and has posted quite a bit of fandom related stuff and plenty of fic in the past couple of years. I think it's because they migrated to a new fandom.

(Anonymous) 2012-11-19 04:28 am (UTC)(link)your situation does suck though, especially that person is still actively writing fics. it's like they chose to ignore yours on purpose..
