I totally agree, OP! Writers should just write their fics for us and then shut the hell up and be grateful for whatever crumbs of feedback readers choose to toss in their direction. They're also not allowed to be disappointed, because that really harshes my squee.

rme at this - why can't people just figure out that there are lots of reasons to go anon and it isn't always about hiding.

Also, if I knew an author was disappointed by lack of reviews, I wouldn't just stop reading them. Frankly that feels like an entitled *reader* to me. That doesn't mean I'd always leave a review either. It's a two-way street.
