I can't forgive the writers for most of the V remake. Such an interesting premise, decent actors, good effects! It could have been awesome! But instead they were just sloppy and hardly anything made sense and they didn't put any effort into making me care about ANYONE and yet somehow it was addictive enough to keep me watching even though I spent most of every episode tutting.

I still can't believe they got Anna out of the dungeon just to kill her off immediately. WTF?

OTOH, they did kill off the annoying son, so that was cool. (-:

I agree! I started out enjoying the series, got through a couple episodes but then I just couldn't take it anymore with the characters and the plot and gave up. I had such high hopes after the first few episodes too!

Literally every plot twist, every rubbish thing that happened to someone, every moment of 'heightened emotion' made me say out aloud "why am I supposed to give a shit about this?" The writing was atrocious. I was constantly bewildered by the fact that I kept watching it!

And again, the actors they picked for the show were soooooo good too, you can't even really blame terrible acting.

It reminds me a lot of Flashforward, so much promise and I couldn't make it past the first half of the show.
