wow.

hope none of you pansies hope to become professional writers.

you'd never fucking survive.

To be fair, professional writers get sales instead of hits. I'd find the money an excellent consolation for the lack of fan feedback.

I hang with many professional writers and no...no they don't consider the money excellent consolation.

they behave just as poorly as fanfiction authors do. which supports my theory that they were used to the circle jerks of love they demanded when they wrote fanfiction.

sa

not to mention how much they whine, kick and scream that agents have started to take a 'no response means no' tactic with query letters.

to hear the authors howl about that and how ZOMG SO UNFAIR and if the agents could JUST SPARE A FEW SENTENCES ABOUT WHY THEY REJECTED...

yeah, no. sorry anon, not buying the monetary compensation line.

it's just as hard, if not harder, to get any validation when finally pursuing professional writing. it's lonely and thankless but fulfilling when you finally land your dream agent and hit that dream publisher.

until then, it's much like fanfiction and extremely tiring to hear supposed professionals whine like a bunch of 13 year olds looking for ass pats and validation, which shows they really weren't ready for the big leagues when they got their dicks stroked by their 'fanfiction fans'.

So what you're saying is…we would survive? Because we're just as entitled? :D
