Yes, it means female genitalia. No, that does not automatically make it the worst and most hateful swearword ever, ever, ever. No, it does not mean the usage of the word cannot evolve over time. In fact, in it's original usage, it simply meant female genitalia and had no negative connotations whatsoever. It was a commonplace word used in regular conversational speech. The vulgarity and negativity came later. The impact has become lessened again in parts of the UK where it now a common mild swearword and, indeed, sometime just a descriptor of a body part. Guess what I usually call my genitals? Clue: it's not my downstairs lady-garden

When it's used as a descriptor of a body part, it's not really sexist.

When it's used as a swearword, it's sexist, for all the reasons I've already explained.

Oh, yes, this is a great idea, laugh at the stupid silly bitchy cunts that make a fuss about sexism and then make a comment you know is misogynist because lol that's funny and awesome, you're such a great guy!

I never see anyone making a fuss over someone using prick as a swear word. And it means penis.
Because, as the word cunt, it all depends of the context. Context. Something that changes everything in language and that some people fail to understand.

When you say dick and prick you're not thinking that male people are inferior. But the root of the word tell us that that guy is a dick, we're saying that he is a big male genitalia. Does that mean that it is what that word means all the time? No, because of ~context~. Because of something called ~evolution of the language~. Because meaning changes depending of the time, place, context where you say something. So, therefore, when we're using dick or prick or any variant as a swear word we're not using that as an insult because of the thought that being associated with a penis is an insult. We're saying that that someone is stupid. Plain as it can get.

So why should a different attitude be applied to cunt? Because of the oppression of the woman? That's trying to use the word misogyny on every single thing when it doesn't apply. It exists. It is a huge problem. I'm a woman and I feel it in my skin. But fussing over every single thing is not going to help the feminist cause.

I think if extreme SJ people ruled the world, everyone would be afraid of saying anything because you can always find something that offends someone on everything. And the problem of this begun when people thought they were right to oppress people because of they're capacity of being offended by a broken toenail.

yeah this. I especially don't get how 'cunt' is sexist in a dialect where it's primarily used as an endearment. It's almost as if, you know, people think cunts are a good thing. Why anyone would have a problem with that, I have no idea.

(Personally, I am pro-cunt and I just want the word de-tabooed as soon as possible so I can use it in porn in a more neutral way. Cunts are amazing, we should talk about them more.)
