For the longest time, I had a picture of Ritsuka in a skanky black-bondage thing from the artbook as my desktop wallpaper on my home computer. I was lucky my mom never asked about it, since I would have had noooo idea what to say to her. @_____@ Aside from trying to convince her that Ritsuka is a girl. And not 12. x____x;

Oh, thank god! Laiko and I were afraid we were the only ones who detest Spuffy. And not only because it's the worse pairing name ever. Seriously, there's more chemistry between Spike and Willow IMO.

I totally agree-- the fucked-upped-ness of the relationships is the best part of the books. That, and Alice.

That said, I am so scared for the girls who hold an attractive but controlling, manipulative, and absolutist character as their pinnacle of manhood. He's not the best guy, and it's pretty clear that his major redeeming factor is that he loves her so much. But he still treats her shittily a lot of the time, and that is not a good thing to be showing impressionable young girls.
