I realize that kuronosuke isn't trans* but your secret still implies that the only real girls are cis girls. I generally don't go all "social justice" on people but seriously, fuck you. There's no reason for this transphobic bullshit.

Don't be ridiculous. Kuranosuke doesn't think of himself as a girl, so he's not a real girl. No where did OP even mention trans* issues, much less imply trans girls aren't real girls.

The phrasing of "real girls" tends to call up real = cis for a lot of people, though. The phrase in general is suspect, even when trans issues aren't involved, basically. It might not be what the OP intended, but it kind of rubbed me the wrong way too...

Yeah, I'd love to see them in a relationship with kuronosuke out as a trans*woman. I think it's because it reflects a previous relationship I had, but I love relationships between girls where one is mtf.

You're being ridiculous. Nowhere did I say he wouldn't have been a real girl if he hadn't simply identified as one, your whole point is stupid. My secret implies that men who identify as men but cross-dress are not real girls, everything else you pull out of your arse. I'm torn on agreeing with you, though - because while I loveloveLOVE the femmeslash (I really do!), I've also got a HUGE FUCKING THING for crossdressing men. And despite its faults, I can't think of a series out there that does it as fabulously as this one... (*_*)

Still ... I would read the hell out of girl!Kuranosuke/Tsukimi fic..

Thanks, but the secret got very little wank of which I am grateful.

While watching I thought the whole plot would've worked exactly the same if he'd been a girl. The only jokes they wouldn't be able to do with him being a girl would be the "Ohhh will they find out, no men allowed!" jokes, which were not that exciting anyway. All the other plot points would fit just as well with "Kurako" right down to the "I want her to see me as more than just friend material!" stuff.

But I can understand that tastefully done cross-dressing is rare enough as it is... still a girl can dream! *keke*
But I wonder if anime in general are more open about this topic? Just the other day I was watching Lovely Complex and there is a transwoman character. While in the beginning there is some "ick" and "lol u really kissed a man" stuff, in the end she's accepted as she is and no big deal is ever made of it again as far as I have watched. It really surprised me.
