I understand it's hard to make money on prints sometimes, but I don't think that excuses the fact that you try to make money off of a series you know nothing about.

... why? What does it matter?

I don't know. I know I wouldn't give a flying toaster if someone who drew an awesome fanart of a character I liked didn't know anything about the character. I'm buying it for the visual appeal, after all. They do a good job? They can have my money. It's an exchange of a service for money.
