Just because one character has a pussy and one has a dick, doesn't mean they'd have a better chance at hooking up over two guys or two girls. Gender doesn't matter when it comes love, it's all about how the characters interact with each other.

Man, don't I wish. While that may be the case in real life, it's sadly not the case in most media. Or maybe I'm just not in the right fandoms. At least in my experience, it's a lot more likely for writers to hook up a random het couple than for the most subtexty same-sex pairing to actually be validated.

In my fandom it can go anyway. Yuri doesn't happen as much as I'd like, but a guy has just as much chance ending up with another guy as he does a girl.
