You should like a good friend. I mean, friends never talk about rl issues and ask advice of each other or vent with each other or anything. Next time she wants to talk about things that are bothering her, tell her to shut the fuck up. Tell her you don't give a shit about anything but her rp. Your relationship will be better for it, I'm sure.

Seriously, though, it's hard to tell from the secret whether OP's friend is really being over the top or not. It's possible that she's being needy/clingy, and it's possible that OP is being whiny. Or both. Either way, I still feel bad for OP's friend, and hope OP will try to help them as they can. But you have to take care of yourself.

(I say this as someone who has been in both positions, but more often in the friend's. As in, I can be clingy/needy. It wasn't until recently that I had the maturity to really realize that =/ But again, that might not even be the case here.)

But... the OP was complaining about her friend constantly dumping on her about RP-related things. The idea that she only wants to here about her friend's RP-related stuff is the complete opposite of what OP was saying.

I was like that when I first starting rping. I bugged the person who got me into it, and I bugged other people I knew who rped. Finally I toned it down. My friends talked about real life things that were bothering them and I realized that talking about rp stuff when they had real worries would not be fair.

(Then later I realized rping was just too stressful for me because I was taking it too seriously and worrying about it too much and I gave it up entirely.)

I don't get this. If you're a girl why the hell would you want to play a female avatar? I love playing guys because they almost always are pretty awesome, and handsome, and tough, and I can stare at them and oogle for entire game.
Unless you're a lesbian, but then I still don't understand the issue, if you play a guy, then you're going to get a female love interest which is something you should be happy about.
