Just the dumb backlash that happens to anything that gets so massively hyped. It happens because it allows people to define themselves against the popular mainstream "brainless" culture and say, "I'm not that, and it's good not to be that." It's not worth engaging with and the whole thing, both blind hysterical fandom and blind hysterical hatred, is so juvenile and... uh... for lack of a better word, teenaged. That it's not worth paying attention to. Immature.

I feel the same way about the hate 50 Shades of Gray gets. It's not that I don't think it's godawful, but I read some of the sporkings and I'm just like "Huh. I saw a boring dubcon sex scene and you saw the universe exploding."
