I'm bewildered by the phenomenon myself. I don't mind if it's in fanfic--I've written babyfic before. But when I go to TV blogs and see people freak out over pregnancy spoilers, I'm lost.

I get even more creeped out when people suggest pregnancy/babies can fix a storyline. That's not how parenthood works, fandoms.

well...to be fair, there are an awful lot of women out there who believe that a baby will fix their IRL marriage/relationship, too.
