When he said 'please don't hurt my little girl' I think Michonne got the idea. He was never gonna think she was no longer his daughter, never going to accept that his little girl couldn't be hurt any longer because his daughter was already dead.

So she forced him to face reality. True, it was done in true Michonne style (read: zero tact) but the guy was clearly delusional and (not having read the comics) most likely hurting other people trying to find a cure.

I am interested in what reasons Michonne would have to want to hurt the Governor/his daughter in the comics? Someone spoil me?

And please don't act like she was trying to help him face reality. Because that's bullshit.

Okay, everybody keeps citing the comic, which is not valid here, but he's also a total dick in the show too. Not in that particular way, but still pretty bad.

He was maybe a decent man once. But he's long since become a monster by this point. A monster with a sentimental spot, but a monster all the same.

To be fair I asked for comic spoilers, so that's probably why.

I do think he's still plenty dickish in the show as well, but even if he were a saint he'd have to face the fact that his daughter was a zombie sooner or later.

I'm not sure that forcing Maggie to strip for him and lording his ability to rape her over her isn't almost as bad as actually going through with raping her. He may not be *as* bad as he was in the comics, but AMC would have had a hell of a time getting the comic version of the Gov on screen.
