Weirdly, I find it refreshing when people say something mean to me. It doesn't happen very often (can't even think of an example rn), and when it does often there's at least a grain of truth to what they're saying. So actually, I take it as a tip, normally.

Oh, specifying that I'm talking about RL here. I don't think the internet counts for me.
