I think that the Governor deserves a little pity, but he's done some pretty terrible things, including killing non-zombies. Michonne killed a zombie. That's it.

And the show's made it pretty clear that when someone turns, there's no remnants of humanity left.

No, the zombie girl was sitting there, growling to herself, a chunk of her rotted scalp pulled out while her hair was being brushed, and she went back to snarling zombie mode (go figure) two seconds later! But your rose-colored glasses approach to zombie childhood is kind of naively sweet. Or deliberately obtuse. I'm not sure which.

No, they had the daughter restrained by the Governor and struggling to bite him while he combed her hair and played music.

Yeah, she was restrained and went back to being a zombie a couple of seconds later. The scene with the old man dying/turning into a zombie showed that there's really nothing left of the person when they turn.

I'm genuinely curious, anon - why are you defending the Governor and the situation with his daughter so much? It seems like everyone else in the thread has a radically different opinion.
