I appreciate that you're not trying to start wank and I believe you, but the thing is that whenever people say "I'm just not attracted to Race X" or "I just think people of Race Y are more attractive!", when you dig a little deeper the motivations for those statements usually boil down to racism.

I AM SURE THERE ARE VALID EXCEPTIONS. But making a blanket statement about the general attractiveness of an entire race of people honestly never looks good to me. Even if you don't think you're being racist, chances are there's some unexamined prejudice at play there.

I'm beginning to think there's prejudice in everything everywhere, if not about race then about something else, and eventually we're going to drive ourselves insane trying to stamp it out.

I actually don't think it's possible to stamp out prejudice (and outside of certain internet circles, I certainly have never lived in a place where it feels like people are particularly bothered about stamping it out), but I don't think it would hurt anyone to think about why they say "I'm just not attracted to race x". But you know, I'm not saying everyone should be forced to find everyone else attractive.

AYRT - I guess you're just not attracted to black people. Your reply makes absolutely no sense. Yes, I'm attracted to some people who are black. And I'm attracted to some people that aren't. This topic shouldn't be avoided just because you think everyone is racist. That you assumed I am is very telling about your character, maybe even more so than your condescending SJ proclamation.

I actually agree with you. And I don't think you're a SJW, you're far too decent in your comment! No insults or anything.

But yeah, as PoC, it makes me really uncomfortable when white people starting going on about how X race is cute or ugly or whatever. Going on about an individual of a different race, or even a feature (ie. I love almond eyes) I don't mind, but when it's the whole race it skeeves me out.
Probably because I think within my continent that depending on which country and which part you go the people there will look very different.

Look, this doesn't apply to people who don't say 'I'm exclusively attracted to an entire race'. It's not for them! If you've never said this, it doesn't apply to you! Also, it really has nothing to do with being white, I don't know where you got that from.

I'm guessing they got it from your comment about white people saying they're exclusively attracted to a particular race. You say that in the same comment as agreeing that this thread is inappropriate. Maybe you didn't mean to make the comment about white people look like a reason for why this thread should be avoided, but it came off that way. It also came off as extremely racist because unlike most of the people that responded to OP, you made a generalization about a race.
