Outside the non-specific standard threats of violence/insults/questions of your character you get working some jobs.

Got told by someone fairly close they didn't think I had a sense of empathy, I hadn't ever had genuine feelings for them, and I had a cargo cult approach to relationships.

I dealt with it poorly, because I guess it hit a nerve. It wasn't true, but it was too close to how I occasionally came off to strike a chord to certain insecurities.
