It depends on where you hang around. If you only hang out in fandoms like HIMYM, TBBT, The Hunger Games, The Mentalist and Castle then you would probably say that you see a lot of het (though all of those fandoms do have at least a small slash following, the majority has been het in my experience). If you hang out in, say, the Sherlock, Supernatural, Teen Wolf etc fandoms then you would probably be like "where's all the het?"

And those three fandoms dominate AO3, so it's particularly prominent there.
