(Anonymous) 2012-12-11 02:57 am (UTC)(link)I seriously just cringed with embarrassment and my boyfriend, who is also in the room, busted up laughing. This is one of those situations where the anticipation and hype for the movie were so high (because the book was so popular, understandably as I am a huge fan of it) that no matter how bad it was people would still shit their pants over it. And I'm not even one of those hard-to-please fans who expect perfection -- I just really didn't like the movie and especially not her in it. But maybe since Catching Fire has a new director it'll be better. I hope so!

That's how I accepted her as Katniss, because I think she played it well. She brought out Katniss's lack of social grace but still made her special. Hmm.
