I wonder if someday gay will be seen as the normal, and hetro will be seen as *ahem* 'unusual'.

It would probably make more sense to say "I wonder if someday bisexuality will be seen as the norm and hetero will be seen as unusual"

Not really - the chances of that happening are slim to none...though it would be a lot larger if you were talking about the human race either going bi or pansexual for the norm, with the hetero being the unusual.
