I do think the latter is worse than the former. It's an issue of representation and oppression.

I can understand shipping two straight characters who have amazing chemistry or shipping characters whose sexualities are ambiguous...but if 90% of your ships consist of god awful slash CRACK with characters who are undoubtedly straight then yeah, sorry to say but I kind of judge you. Even more so if you happen to be straight. Those kinds of fans remind me too much of men who would creepily approve of my sexuality...ones who would see me having a blast with my female best friend and go "...now kiss!!".
