13. I can relate. :o There's usually at least ONE character I adore from a book/movie/series/game/whatever that I can't stand. XDD!
18. I always thought Tsuzuki and Hisoka were even/even too. And Hisoka's proud, dangit! There's NO way he's gonna back down in front of anyone. So Seme!Hisoka makes a lotta more sense. :o

I disagree with the ho-zac thing. I think that line was just there to make frothing Subaru fans wank. That's mean.

Otherwise, SeixSub is pretty farfetched. *dodgerock* I didn't like it that much myself, personally, because it was so silly and it almost seemed to "OTP <3" those nasty things you listed in that secret.

I liked Seishiro and Subaru, though. They're nice (if a little incredible) characters. Ignore the fanbase. (That tiny Sei does look a little bit like Harry Potter, though.)

Did you just do this to froth fans? I can understand sticking up for a little known opiniono but if you're just trying to get clamp rants's panties in a knot, then that's a bit of a waste of time, now isn't it?

I love Turn-A way more than SEED or whatever, goddamnit. LOVE that show.

1. Zomg, my cousin and I totally do this. We'll walk around town as Remus Lupin and Sirius Black mwpp-era or the Weasley twins. People stare at us because we'll be chattering in British accents about our OWL exams or somesuch thing... XD It's weird, but who cares? It's fun, right?

8. I don't complain or bitch about anything. All my ships are controversal, but I've never had anything to bitch about...I just post my works and people comment. No one's done anything about it. Were they supposed to?

13. Oh, the irony. She's the ONE CHARACTER in that whole show that I CANNOT STAND.

15. I'm the opposite. I only post it my work on ff.net and livejournal communities, because I know my friends and family would judge the hell out of me because of who I ship or how extreme it gets. oO;

18. TRUFAX! Though I gotta say, I think their relationship can go either way depending on their moods. :)

19. LOL! What is this?

20. I don't even want to bother reading it. I think if I did my eyeballs will explode. And rather fancy being able to see things.

21. Dawwwwwwwwwwww~

24. This both makes me laugh and shudder uncontrollably. Oh no wait, I was just cold...left my balcony door open. :D

PGSM FTW! I cried so hard when Minako died. :<

3. WELL AT LEAST YOU DIDNT SAY BROTHER BEAR

[identity profile] veevega.livejournal.com 2007-08-23 02:34 am (UTC)(link)
BROTHER BEAR 2 WAS A TOUR DE FORCE, COMBINING SWEEPING VISUALS WITH AN INTIMATE LOOK AT THE MATING RITUALS OF THE MAJESTIC ALASKAN MOOSE
ALSO THERE'S A PART WHERE KENAI'S GIRLFRIEND BEATS THE SHIT OUT OF A HUNDRED RACCOONS WITH A STICK

I SWEAR TO GOD

<3~!

[identity profile] ceasefire.livejournal.com 2007-08-23 02:21 am (UTC)(link)
17. I hate that pairing too, but I can understand why people like it.

Also, it'd help if you got your facts straight before you make sweeping generalizations about Seishirou and Subaru.

[identity profile] powercorrupts.livejournal.com 2007-08-23 02:37 am (UTC)(link)
17: I normally adore villainxhero pairings. I don't mean I'm looking for romantic stuff - I just a sucker for fucked up pairings, the sort that couldn't ever work and mess up the people more instead of making them happy. SeiSub was my cup of tea in canon, but the fandom sort of killed it for me. (At least I never touched any FuKam fics~)

People get grouchy whenever you say the fandom killed something for you, but... I only liked them because they were too fucked up to work. I don't get why everything I read seemed to be trying to make them work. Wasn't that the point? It can't work? They're better off dead. xD

18: Seme Hisoka! \o/

But as for actually finding it... lol good luck. =( I think the majority of the fandom saw every time Hisoka did something testosterone-fueled and instead translated it to him being a cute little kitten somehow. Gensoukai arc much? How is that shit cute? Endearing, maybe, in a character flaw way. Cute, not so much.

I really don't read much TsuHi, though. It just feels like there were a handful of good TsuHi fics, and all the rest are just crappy versions of the others, or too ooc to even bother with.

1. So gonna do that now.
ouo: (Trace memory; In the Breeze)

1. That's awesome. I've never done that much myself because I live with four other people, so I'm paranoid that someone's going to randomly pop up and laugh at me, even if no one else is actually home.

12. I don't think there's really any excuse for this -- with coupons and discount websites, you can get manga for $4-$8 consistantly (for normally-priced volumes). As for anime, if you have access to a credit card and check a good discount-reporting website, nearly everything goes down to, like, $10 per disc. And then there are rental services and libraries. I'm not saying that you should buy everything that have ever even vaugely caught your eye ever, but if you pay attention, paying for anime isn't all that crazy.

And, of course, if anime in English had higher sales, you can bet it would get cheaper (just look at how much more pricey things used to be).

Of course, this does depend quite a bit on your location, so if you happen to be in some country that never releases anime domestically, feel free to hit me or something.

17. I'm not in the fandom, but I always figured that people liked this pairing because it was so messed up. As long as they're enjoying the dynamic for what it is, I don't see a problem.

1. I've done this all my life and always thought I was a freak. Judging from this secret and everyone's comments, I guess I'm not really that weird after all. Thanks, secret poster person.

3. I loved everything on the 'unpopular' list except for Home on the Range. I thought that was absolute garbage. :(

20. ATTACK OF THE FONTS
MY EYES

24. OH LAWD I LOVE YOU
I FOUND THAT WHOLE SITUATION VERY HOT

(Anonymous) 2007-08-23 04:43 am (UTC)(link)
i liked home on the range a lot, once you get past the LOL I'M ROSEANNE AHURRRRHUR jokes it's great. randy quaid, and the triplets and steve buscemi are hilarious. even cuba gooding is pretty funny. it had solid animation and a trippy musical sequence with yodeling. so all in all, not a classic, but not the crap everyone assumes it is.
AND I WANT TO DO ROGER, JESUS CHRIST

[identity profile] maiteoida.livejournal.com 2007-08-23 03:24 am (UTC)(link)
22. Ed/Al/Winry FTWWWWWWW D: There totally should be more stuff for iiiit. I would totally do some fanart of it if I weren't so blocked omg On a slightly related note, can it be Al/Winry tiem now too? :( I can usually find Ed/Al or Ed/Winry but my favorite combo of the 3 is Al/Winry and it's so haaaard to fiiiiiiind as well...sorrow!

(Anonymous) 2007-08-23 07:58 am (UTC)(link)
Well, I'm an Ed/Winry more than Al/Winry shipper so I'm not sure how much Al/Winry is around but I've definitely seen it. My problem with a lot of Al/Winry stories is that they're usually an extra pairing in Ed/Roy stories, which I have no interest in. It really feels like Al and Winry are only paired together in those fics to get them out of the way of the Ed/Roy. :(

I do the exact same thing. I'm so scared I'll get burnt out on fandoms if I overshare them with my friends. Especially if they like the same characters. I'm fortunate though in that most of my friends have different tastes than me.

[identity profile] thepinkangel.livejournal.com 2007-08-23 05:06 am (UTC)(link)

1. ...OH MY GAWD. I thought I was the only one. Seriously. Holy shit. I was going to anon this, but no D: Ilu ♥

2. So totally agreed. I haven't been into anime for almost 2 years, but I was going to go to Otakon this year anyway just to see friends and and have tons of fun cosplaying and acting like an idiot :[

4. While I don't love it to the extent you do (I can't hel but laugh at the cheesy bits, but they only endear me to the show more), I have to agree that PGSM is more awesome than most of the fandom gives it credit for :D Manga loyalty while exploring new avenues = AWESOME. Costumes and hair = GOOOORGEOUS ♥

6. Do I know you? XD

18. ILUILUILUILUILUILUILUILUILU ♥ I'm personally not into sticking them into one role or the other and permanently keeping them there, but THANK YOU ♥ Completely and totally ukefied!Hisoka gets my back up.

21. I'm a straight girl and I LOVE yuri :D ♥ Rei/Minako OTP! ♥

[identity profile] thepinkangel.livejournal.com 2007-08-23 07:19 am (UTC)(link)
Sorry, I sound like a retard because I forgot about the second part of the secret XD;
I'm the straight with a couple of fandom lesbian friends, but with both of them I kinda wish I wasn't :x

(Anonymous) 2007-08-23 05:09 am (UTC)(link)
21. Don't loose hope. I was in a similar situation, only I was the straight girl. But now, I have a girlfriend...It can happen.

TWENTY FUCKING ONE

[identity profile] ipodsr2big.livejournal.com 2007-08-23 06:16 am (UTC)(link)
Sorry for the harsh language. >.<

I think I almost teared up when I read yours. It was beautifully done and executed. And I was in your boat for three years of my life. But it all got better. I really hope everything works out for you, one way or another. My heart goes out to you. :)

[identity profile] famira.livejournal.com 2007-08-23 08:36 am (UTC)(link)
16). Ditto on this (especially on the Turn A Gundam love <3). There's some great series out there like 0080, MSG and Turn A that more people should check out.

[identity profile] evil-chibi.livejournal.com 2007-08-23 10:21 am (UTC)(link)
4. I agree whole-heartedly. It was the first anything (drama/anime/manga,etc.) to make me cry for three consecutive episodes.

12. My excuse is there's nowhere; except the internet, near where I live to buy things. To be honest I would continue being a media pirate also, even if there was.

[identity profile] nheihi.livejournal.com 2007-08-23 11:24 am (UTC)(link)
1- I knew it, I'm not crazy!!! 8D (I spend most of my lonely time speaking to myself and imagining me being one of my OC characters....omg =_=U...)

3- Pocahontas it's not my favourite movie...but Great Mouse Detective: YES!!

5) Do try again! I know how embrassing it can be, but, if you got accepted, that means your chara had some sort of value

8) One of the people that got banned, was banned for... I think SnapexHarry? In that fanart, none of them actually looked like they were underage. The reason was changed than to "It had no artistic value" (and it had, actually). There was then made a rule that sounded like "even if the chara does not look 14 when we know in fandom he is, that still will be considered underage". Does this mean that if I write a fanfic or post an art with a 70 years old Lloyd that is doing a 65 years old Genis I would *still* be banned because they know in fandom they don't have that age? On the other hand, will I not be banned if I do something with Mori and Honey-sempai from Host-club? (where Honey is 18 years old, but look like a child) It didn't make sense to me.
And also, they refused to post their so called new rules on the terms of service. Basically, how are people supposed to know IF what they're doing is wrong or not? With magic?
I do not post pr0n or anything near it, so the thing doesn't affect me at all and I'm certianly not going to be leaving LJ, but still. After the breastfeeding thing, now this, they sound anything but bright.

16) Z0MG LORAAAAN *cries*

12) I think you just are not a collector, that is. Of course it's all right, but if you ask me, a Original DVD is something to drool over.

17) Tokyo Babylon is one of my favs manga ever, therefore, Seishirou/Subaru is also one of my fav pairing ever. You have your point, in this secret, and actually, I agree with you.
It's just, I think the two of them share something deep. I know little from X history because I drop it, I preffered to keep remembering them in TB, so I may talk nonsense... But even though Seishirou didn't admit it, Subaru really made him feel something, and he was someone who was never able to feel real emotions. On the other hand, Subaru begin to see Seishirou as his world, more or less. Everything he did was revolving around him, and he loved what he thought he was. He realized it only after the incident in where Seishirou lost his eye.
So, yeah, basically, he was in love with an ILLUSION. What made him continue loving him? I think Seishorou was more or less everything Subaru from his "previous world". His sister died, his grandma too (probably, I don't know if she's on X, but she was so old on TB, I'm guessing...). Also, I think he's basically a masochist within a certian extend, which is why even though his mind his telling him Seishirou, his Seishirou doesn't exist, his heart is hoping to see him back, and wants to gain pleasure in his pain.
Just my opinion, though... (I can't stand KamuixFuuma, which more or less, is very similar to these two, so, I really do understand your point)

15. I feel your pain.

20. Hypocrite.

22. If you alienate your entire friends list for writing what you want to write, you need a new set of friends.

24. As a member of many fandoms of one, I say yes!
