Oh, that's certainly one of the WORST things they've done, but definitely not the only thing. There was the harassment and death/rape threats they hurled at Yamino after the whole Pony-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named debacle, the disgusting porn they drew of Lauren Faust's ponysona, and a whole slew of other minor disturbances.

Not to mentioned they've always been an entitled, creepy bunch of manchildren who act like they are the only demographic that matters in the world and constantly whine about how a show for LITTLE GIRLS doesn't cater enough to THEM, those poor adult, straight, white males.

Oh Derpy-gate, how amusing and sad you were. I'm glad she's not really in the show anymore, though she's been replaced with Lyra/BonBon as the token BG ponies.

I hope they have one offhanded comment about her being Ditzy-Doo, just to see them froth. :B

That would be utterly glorious.

The preferred brony name is ugly as hell anyway. I mean without getting into the potential offensiveness (let's not get into that wank fest) let's face it, if you like that name you simply have HORRIBLE taste and should never name pets or children. It just sounds so awful phonetically speaking (if that's the right term).

Ponies should have cute names and it's just not cute at all. Ditzy Doo at least sounds cute in some way even if I've seen some people have problems with it too. Personally I like to call her Bubbles in my head because it's cuter to me even if it's not that creative. But so long as it sounds nice I'll be happy. Bon bon isn't a canon name but it's nice. Lyra is also a cute name the fandom came up with.

"Derpy hooves" just... isn't. It's perhaps the ugliest name I've ever heard for a pony. I just don't get why it became popular.

It doesn't even fit within the show's canon. In a world of the acceptance of ponies with different body parts than you, 'Derpy' seems off flavor. At least Lyra and Bonbon do. Personally I like calling her Bubblecup.

I was against this name from the very start, only because it sounded unoriginal and not canon enough.
In a world where "nopony" uses the word "derp", why the fuck would a pony be named "Derpy Hooves"?

It's like calling a pony "Lulzy Roflmao" or "ExDee Face"

I've been calling her Dizzy Doo here lately (mostly because I like the DD name, flows really well). Cause I can see her flying a little off kilter, but not overly much. Otherwise, she's fine, just has a lazy eye. *shrug*

I miss Derpy on the how (she was 'my' pony, since I'm also cross-eyed), but I place the blame SQUARELY on the shoulders of the bronies for her erasure from the show in S3.

Their motto should be 'THIS IS WHY YOU CANT HAVE NICE THINGS'.

And the whole thing with PurpleTinker. Just because she didn't act with infinite patience of a saint doesn't mean that she deserves all the shit the other "BNFs" were dragging her through.

I'm actually not familiar with any Purpletinker drama, other than that she had to step down from some event she was helping with? Anyone have deets?

She seemed like a sweetheart from what I could tell so I'm sad to hear she had to go through something like that. :(

TL;DR: She was part of the founders of the BronyCon, she didn't expect for it and the fandom to get so big, made some honest mistakes, had to step down because of the stress, was accused of doing terrible stuff from the other members of the convention staff (who are tools of the biggest caliber), while said other members did their own terrible stuff and Purple Tinker actually has the evidence to back it up. Said tools went on to staff a different, very popular convention, so PT finally gave up on it for the sake of the fans attending that convention (or so she says, she must likely got tired of all the drama; heck, one brony musician said that she had tried to attack him with a knife at a convention and high on some drugs, while in truth she had been doing a stream for charity at the time, plus tons of transphobia and other fun stuff)

I don't get why Brony feelings were treated as more important than, oh I don't know, the complaints made by Mothers of the Target Audience and the target audience itself?
