I love this, too! I really don't get the prejudice against short guys. I mean, everyone has individual preferences (mine is for shorter people, apparently!), but the whole thing of expecting men to be taller than their female partners is bizarre to me.

I loathe being hit on by shorter guys than me. I'm 5'3, so if a guy is shorter than me, he is TINY.

I also like to wear really tall heels, and I can't abide by being 6 inches taller than a guy. (If I was 5'11, I'd feel differently, but I just do not find guys under 5'5 attractive.)

I think it's a relative height/options thing. Being a woman who's 5'10'', limiting your options just to taller guys is bad. Being 4'10''...not so much.

Eh, I'm 5'4 and I wish I could find more guys shorter than me. I wouldn't say I ID as female, though, so it probably isn't the same thing.

My ex-roommate is 5'10 and refused to date anyone shorter than her. Her preference was 6'2+. I have an ex-friend who's 5'11 and REALLY prefers to date taller men. Look, lady, you're 5'11. You rule out a huge portion of guys when you exclude anyone shorter than you.

I ALSO have a 5'11 friend who loves men who are 5'4-5'6, so... There's some extremes. ;)

I love short guys. Granted, I'm 4'11 and so it's pretty hard to find anybody that's not taller than me, let alone shorter! But the relationship I had with a guy who was about 5'5 was lovely for not having to crane my neck so very much. Somehow, most of the people I have been involved with have been 5'10-6' (even the women), and... my neck. Ow.
