As one tall girl (5'10") to another, I agree. I love it even more when height isn't the punchline to joke.

How tall is 5'10 in centimeters? I tried to convert the size and go 155 cm which is pretty average to me, even a bit on the short side (I'm short where I live and roughly 160 cm high). But as always, height is relative!

Me too. My mom is taller than my dad, so I grew up thinking it was perfectly normal, only to be bombarded with "eeeewww" messages from society and obnoxious little girls (always girls for some reason, guys never seemed to give as much of a shit) when I got older.

That lady might be wearing heels? But either way, I agree. I hate society's idea that the guy in a het relationship always has to be taller. (I know a couple irl where the woman is about an inch taller. They're adorable lol.)

This reminded me of a friend who is about 3 inches taller than her husband. She has always, as long as I've known her, gone for guys who are shorter than her. It's kinda cool.

I love this, too! I really don't get the prejudice against short guys. I mean, everyone has individual preferences (mine is for shorter people, apparently!), but the whole thing of expecting men to be taller than their female partners is bizarre to me.

I also enjoy that. And the scene in season three at the algae planet, where Adama meets with a Six and a Three, both of whom tower over him (EJO is apparently also 5'8", while Tricia Helfer and Lucy Lawless are both 5'10" and wore heels).

One of my favorite DC couples is Scott and Barda, and ngl, part of it is because he has to stand on his tippy toes to kiss her and I think that is just freaking adorable.

But then again, I also kinda like short guys too.

And that's why I loved what I saw of Big Barda and her husband in the Justice League show. So cool.

As a fairly short man (5'7" / ~170cm), it always makes me really happy too. Especially with couples like this or Zoe/Wash from Firefly, (or IRL like Michael J. Fox and his wife, or Seth Green and his), where nothing is made of it. There are no jokes, or raised eyebrows or surprise. It's just another couple, which is how it should be but which our society rarely allows. Hell, I'm not even "supposed" to date a woman 5'6" because she'll be taller than me if she wears heels. (Which is stupid.) Sadly, I know many tall women who straight up say they are only interested in dating taller men.

Heh, I actually just complained about people drawing Midna (from Legend of Zelda - Twilight Princess) as shorter than Link, when... she's totally not. (Midna and Zelda are both taller than Link, and the Skyward Sword versions of Link and Zelda are the same height, but art of any of those ships constantly has Link as taller than the female characters. Drives me insane.)

Ahhh, this and the comments make me happy.
I'm 5'8" and I've only ever been attracted to guys the same height as me. It's not a ~fetish~ or anything, I am just never attracted to tall men, even though I've been taller than all my boyfriends when wearing heels. I hate when I tell people this and they act like it's absolutely hilarious.

Another good example of this is Parley and Andrew from Gunnerkrigg Court-- when they finally kissed he stood a step up on a flight of stairs, and the author joked he better carry a box around from now on.
