If bronies don't want to be called rape apologists they should stop being rape apologists and defending rape apologists.

Aaaaand here we go again. Look, say someone from you're school/job made a victim blaming comment. Would that make you and all you're classmates/co-workers victim blamers? It's the same thing.

I would tell that person that they were a piece of shit and refuse to associate myself with them. I would support the victim, because that victim-blaming person would be 100% in the wrong and they need to take responsibility for their actions.

If my WHOLE school/job was full of victim blaming pieces of shit, which is a MUCH more accurate analogy, I would search for a new job/school and get out of there ASAP because that is a terrible place full of terrible people. Alternatively, I would keep speaking up and find like-minded individuals who will defend those hurt by the establishment.

You don't want people to think you're a shitty brony? Don't act like a shitty brony, and stop ignoring the problem. Ignoring the problem and then demanding you not be associated with the assholes while doing nothing to get rid of the assholes is stupid and it isn't going to work. You deserve to be associated with them. It's that simple.

But you aren't saying "stop acting like a shitty brony". Literally what you're saying is "stop being a brony, because 100% of bronies are terrible people, and if you even call yourself a brony or participate in the fandom at all, then you are a piece of shit rape apologist".

Nope, I'm saying that if you don't want people to think you're a piece of shit for being a brony you should make an effort to fix your own damn fandom.

If men want to stop being called rapists then then they should stop being the majority who commit rape or glorify rape (through legislation, etc.).

But no one's saying every man is despicable. People are saying every brony is despicable. Not all men are bronies, and I think the sentiment that men should all be willing to be classed as rapists or rape apologists unless they denounce maleness categorically and come up with something new would probably be met with derision.

More like "if men don't want women to have to be wary around them, they should actively fight misogyny and rape culture and stop complaining about the fact that women are people with fears who were raised in a culture that has taught them that nobody will defend you if you are raped and no matter what you did or who you trusted you are the one at fault."

This doesn't even make sense. It's not like they're just going to stop being men. Do you want them to say "I'm not male" just because a large number of males have raped or glorified rape?
