Yeah, no, it's about rape. Sex that's guilt-ninja'd out of a dude by a girl who he doesn't want to actually have sex with is rape. There is not vigorous and informed consent given. (Which is, btw, WHY that song was chosen for Watchmen. Coerced sex = Rape.)

It is so fucked up and sad that because it's a beautiful song, people completely space out on how insanely fucked up and awful it is. Much like "Every Breath You Take" by the Police, which Sting himself has confirmed was supposed to be an oh-no-bad-touch song, but is one of the top 80's wedding songs. So screwed up.

Yeah, no, it's about rape

No, not necessarily. I don't think that's an invalid interpretation, but that isn't the definite meaning. Cohen himself said that there were many valid interpretations to the song and just about every person who covered it gave it their own spin. If the song is about rape to you, then that's fine but don't shove that on everyone else and expect them to interpret it the same way.
