So much agreement. I had to look away every time Radagast was on screen. It made me queasy to look. (Also didn't see the troll scene - had to have my friend poke me once Bilbo was no longer covered in snot.)

I like Radagast but there were several times I looked at him and thought, "Can you please take a bath?" Shallow, but...yea. God knows how long Thorin and company go without bathing whilst traveling, but they don't look disgusting. But of course they aren't letting birds relax in their hair either...

It made me sick to my stomach to see him. A lot of people in my theater complained to the manager and got their money back for their popcorn that they couldn't eat because he was on screen so much.

I...don't think you're supposed to "get past" it. I think you were supposed to laugh at it and see it as part of the character.

And the state of his house? The way he touches and hugs that dirty hedgehog? Goodness knows where that animal has been!

Absolute disgusting! Can you just imagine the *smell* of someone like that? Living in the wild........with masses of hair.

Me too, OP. Whenever I saw him on screen, all I wanted was for him to WASH HIS FREAKING HAIR. But he didn't. And it bothered me way too much.

Heeee ngl the first time I saw him, I thought it was moss growing on his face and that it was a super cute little detail! But then there was a close-up later and I went "oh....no"

its part of the character. he cares more about the creatures than anything. its a natural progression of an animal lover in an extreme kind of sense. when you care for a lot of animals getting pooped on stops really mattering, and in his case it would stop mattering at all.

I feel like the only person who honestly didn't care.

I'm surprised that it DIDN'T bother me. Usually stuff like that squicks me, but not with him. Weird.
