You can add to your judgment criteria 'number of fanmixes that contain the song 'My Immortal''. (Anyone else got similar criteria for judging fandoms? I would not be averse to this becoming a list...)

I personally prefer to use "Everytime We Touch" as the standard, but otherwise, yes.

Is it just me or do people seem to use 'judge' far too flippantly and not realize how silly it is to be judging because some fourteen year old writes a pairing you disagree with or some person uses a kitschy generic song for their AMV.

In the long run does it really matter? I mean you can just put in the titles of songs you like with "___ amv" and be happy. Does the world really have to know that you're judging them? Honestly

a lot of "judge you" secrets are petty and pointless. I can understand judging someone for sympathizing with Chris Brown after what he did to his girfriend...or thinking people should just "leave Roman Polanski alone!!11!11!" or something like that...

but really judging someone for this kind of stuff seems like a waste of energy. What are we going to judge people on next liking foods we personally hate? /sick of the 'judging you' trend.

I now have this horrible horrible urge to make a vid entirely of characters from A:tLA making pratfalls set to that song. Significant time would be spent with Sokka stuck in that hole in the ground from Bitter Work.

I used to use Linkin Park's 'Numb' for the same purpose- at one point it seemed all fandoms, even small ones that were barely angsty at all, had to have at least three fanvids with that one. And most of them didn't seem very tongue-in-cheek, either. Nothing particularly wrong about the song in itself, but it got old in a hurry.
