Good luck to you two. It's a difficult road, but it can be worth it, I'm certain. The best advice I can offer is to be honest with each other, but most importantly with yourself. That, and try to remember that not everything is related to transition. It can have a tendency to take over your lives, but it is a long process and if you are anything like myself or any of my transgender friends or their partners you will both need something outside to occupy your thoughts.
