I stand up to wipe. Is that weird? Apparently everyone else stays seated.

No? I squat-sit so I'm partially standing by the time I have to wipe.

It's a little weird to me but hey, I don't care how you wipe as long as you're doing it.

I'm honestly stunned that anyone sits to wipe. You have to stand to reach, right?

No. The hell can you not reach while sitting down?

You would have to reach down into the toilet and bend your arm at a point that does not contain a natural joint in order to reach. Unless all of the rest of you are going elbow-deep in the toilet bowl.

Really? I had no clue people didn't, I've always stood up (actually I stand up and I'm next to or facing the toilet... it seems quite uncomfortable to do so just above it)

I'm meaning after pooping. After peeing I do wipe seated, particularly because I've to open the bin and if I stand up then I have to reach down and I'm that lazy xD

i had no idea there was any way OTHER THAN STANDING...i shall have to think on this, imma bit disturbed

I had no idea there was other ways than sitting?! what countries are people who stand/sit/squat from? (i mean, can we compare? is this a cultural thing? I'm a sitter in australia and what i've noticed at work is everyone sits /sounds creeperish)

i do know that people paranoid about public toilets squat but that's general a cause for concern since people miss and you end up with crap on the seats so in their effort to not touch the seat they've successfully made it worse for everyone else

I don't comprehend this. When you're sitting, your ass naturally spreads which keeps the shit and the toilet paper from getting stuck... unless by standing you mean squatting and you wipe the front first (unless you're a guy).

Nothing to do with toilets! But, when I brush my teeth it doesn't matter how careful I am, what kind of toothpaste I use, or how much. I become a foamy mess, we are talking cartoon rabies foamy.

This is why i like to brush my teeth in the shower. Then it doesn't really matter how foamy it gets, or how messy i am.

I usually stay seated when I wipe, but whatever floats your boat.

I shake twice but my doctor recently told me to do it three times. I wipe my ass sitting down but I always shower immediately afterwards because it costs less than using those wet ass-wipe things every time and toilet paper is useless against bacteria.

what if you poo, like, 3-4 times a day? do you have that many showers?

I've heard "half the people squat to wipe and half the people sit, and each group has no idea the other exists."

That being said, I'm a squatter. I got it in my head somehow, though, that everyone else sat and that someday someone would see my feet under the stall squatting and know and call me out.

That sounds like a true saying. I had no idea people stood/squatted instead of sitting until today?

even in movies that show or hint at the main event in the toilet, the characters are sitting so i'm ???????????
