I like Roseanne. Not my favorite sitcom ever, but it's still nice. I do think a lot of the hate can be attributed to Roseanne's change of tone from the few final seasons onwards.

The actress herself, I mean. She got a lot more self absorbed, and it seemed she stopped trying to deal with important issues, and just started to kind of make a lot of noise and flatter herself.

It was funny watching it recently and realizing just how much early Roseanne resembles my aunt.
