OK. I can understand the ads, that's a valid issue.
I can understand the 'ugly' - it's a bit petty to judge someone on, but a fairly valid reason to not follow their Tumblr (I really don't follow Tumblr at all, because there's too many ugly layouts).
But, ah...the paid layout thing? That's weird, and beyond petty. And assuming they're 'rich assholes'? 'Rich' and 'asshole' are orthogonal traits, as are 'rich' and 'able to buy a Tumblr layout'. Assuming A->B->C is just...well, the act of an asshole.

I don't really give a shit about someone's theme because the only time I see it is when I go to their page to follow them. Otherwise all I see is my dash with the lovely blue background.

That's what I was thinking. Ugly themes bother me when it's someone I don't follow, but if I'm following someone, then I just see their posts on my dash as a rule.
