(Anonymous) 2013-01-20 06:49 pm (UTC)(link)Is your parent's house old? Does it have bad wiring? Things like this can explain a lot of your issues. Houses that are old, or poorly framed, make noises because they are settling. Bad wiring can cause surges, which can set off electrical devices (It often happened to my TV in a very old apartment building I lived in in MA)
As for your phone turning off, is it a cellphone? They are notorious for having bad charges. My Verizon lucid shuts off all the time, or loses its charge in a matter of days/hours. It's pretty bad.
