Re: If you could only rewatch three episodes of your favorite shows for the rest of your life...
I sat down and watched it for a second time. And a third.
It gets better on rewatch. Like, astonishingly so. I can (and have) written at length about how much this episode really works on so many levels. It has so many subtle themes of season 3 crammed into it, especially regarding Abed and control, the way the group interacts when forced to bounce off of each other in such a normal environment is fascinating (I could say the same about Mixology Certification, which is also brilliant in that same regard except here by manner of force the characters get more breathing room), the subtle build to the climax across five timelines is so intricate and unexpected, and really what's remarkable is that it uses this high concept of timeline swapping and yet still does manage to seem so low key. And they did it in only 22 minutes.
Remedial Chaos Theory may not be the funniest or most exciting episode of Community, and it's not my favorite, but I've spent a lot of time getting to know it and being in awe of it and now we're comfortable buds with each other and I don't get tired of rewatching it.
Bienvenido de la casa chez trobed :D
