Re: Pet owners who try to dictate you pet care
There was one time I was walking her on-leash and I met this other dog owner who had his golden lab off leash. He then tried to lecture me about how I shouldn't have to leash my dog if I just started with no leash and proper training from the start, and how his dog had never been on a leash in her life. I just smiled and nodded, but I seriously wanted to lecture him that yeah, that's great for you and your docile lab, but my husky is never going to walk next to me off of a leash downtown. Also, beyond breed there are basic personality differences between dogs and it's awesome that yours is a calm trainable leash free dog, but that is now the way my dog works.
So yeah. Ugh. I don't mind discussing different ways to care for pets, but when it turns to people lecturing you without even taking facts into consideration, it's really frustrating and annoying.

(Anonymous) 2013-01-26 11:40 pm (UTC)(link)I'm sorry random person on the internet in a different country and therefore different local dog food but no. I'm not taking your advice over my VETS. And my vet is a really good vet!
They seem to be mostly against canned dog food. Something about rice and flour? My canned is just squashed up animal parts with the odd veggie thrown in. This weeks flavour is kangaroo and lamb no flour or rice so... shut up?
