You know how sometimes there's the occasional "secret" bashing incest-shippers and claiming that anybody who ships incest either doesn't have siblings or if they do, wants to fuck them?

That sort of happens with furries - the idea that if you're shipping anthropomorphic animals, you either have never had a pet or if you do, you want to fuck it. And then there's the added layer of even finding animals or animal-like beings attractive at all, and the assumption that all furries want to be animals/their fursona. Given the association with "lesser beasts," so to speak, people end up treating them as somewhat sub-human, because hey, at least the folks into giantess vore and unbirthing are still attracted to human-looking people! (No offense intended to folks with those kinks - y'all are still cool, I just picked them since they're generally considered off-the-wall kinks that can't translate into real life.)

It doesn't help that there is a vocal and somewhat batshit minority within the yiffer subgroup, but no anti-furry person is going to accept that it is just a minority, and that every group has their own vocal, batshit minority that can make the group as a whole look bad.
