I kid. Mostly.
Seriously, though, there's a lot going on in Armada when they're not busy pausing. Starscream learning to stand up to Megatron is really touching and heartening, and most TF series don't have anything as complex as Demolishor's ambivalence over the whole situation. I love the scene where he's outside the door when Megatron's beating Starscream, yelling at him to stop, and the earlier one where he walks into a room that's just had a huge hole blown in it and he just... stands around awkwardly, because he's not sure what to do with himself.
And I like how the Autobots go on and on about how the Decepticons don't care about the Minicons, and Starscream's all like, "Swindle!" *clutches to bosom* And how parts of the story seem like fan fic written by Alexis. And the rainbows! So many rainbows. That's really what kept me watching.
Apparently I have a lot of Armada feels. Hit me up sometime, clearly we should talk.

(Anonymous) 2013-02-01 01:57 am (UTC)(link)I loved Starscream and the Minicons, particularly the Saber minicons. There were times he looked like a mother duck with a gaggle of ducklings, what with the healing energy baths and the defending them against Megatron and the mutual loyalty and all ...
Which made moving to the main continuity and meeting that Starscream a little weird, really. Honourable (if slightly crazy and a touch megalomaniacal) warrior prone to mother-henning smaller beings --> crazy-ass, oddly compelling whiny backstabbing coward. Bduh? But okay, we can go with that ...
