as long as the original audio is also available to these fans, everything is alright, you're right.

However, you should see the fans in countries how only get the dubbed version on TV freak out if the DVD release in their country doesn't include the original audio.

So, yeah. Americanising the language for an American might be comparable to dubs, but people are also freaking out about dubs. What made you think they wouldn't about an American dub?

I would be so pissed if any movie or tv series that was dubbed to my language and I bought the DVD and I didn't get the original sound. Dubbed content is annoying.

Dubbed content is annoying to you.

I agree that the DVDs should have both the dubbed and the original audio for those that want it, but not everyone finds dubs annoying. For some of us they're the only way we can enjoy the shows. (Subs aren't good for people with visual impairments, slow readers, people who like to be able to do chores while watching TV ect.)
