I've considered making a secret about this, but . . .

I might as well say it straight up. I really, really like lighthearted adventure shows, with a bit of action but not much violence or death. Every show I can think of that's currently airing and fits that description is a kids' show. Everything adventure-ey for adults now is all grim and depressing.

(Some people call grownups' adoption of kids' shows a form of the New Sincerity movement--look it up if you're curious.)

I feel the same; I love me some lighthearted (and sometimes campy) stuff. Cartoons can be tons of fun.

Plus, I like animation. It's a great art form and should be celebrated as such.
