Depends on the childrens' show. There are a lot of cartoons for children that have things in them that appeal to adults (someone mentioned Rocko's Modern Life earlier which is a great example -- I loved that show as a kid but there are a lot of jokes I didn't get as a kid that I get now, and situations I appreciate more now that I'm an adult and have had to pay rent/work/etc). There's also the fact that some people like to wax nostalgic about childhood
