That's what utterly ruined my enjoyment of the second part of Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann for me. Rossiu was merely doing the most logical, sensible things in order to save what little remained of the human race, even hating how ruthless his action were, but was vilified by both the show and the fandom for not mindlessly believing in Hot-Bloodedness Will Save The Day.

If he was in a more realistic series like Gundam, he'd be a tragic hero, but he was stuck in a much sillier series. Personally I think it's rather cruel to throw a character under the bus just because they don't KNOW that sensible logic does not apply here, silly mortal.
