Haha. That's my fault for not adding a "Does not apply to everything ING will ever say" clause so sure, why not.

I have a very good friend with a lazy eye and people have always made fun of her for that. It made her hate herself and it was heart-breaking to see people everywhere reacting to her eye in one way or the other. Sometimes she would wear an eye-patch to make people think she has had an injury she had to cover up, just to avoid the stares and giggles.
I'm glad that she sort of learned to cope and lives a happier life nowadays.

I was really appalled when that animation error appeared in FiM that had such a lazy eye and bam! fandom latched onto it, called it a "derp-faced pony" and made up this fanon that she is clumsy, super slow and dumb to the point she fucks up everything she touches.

Wow, what a positive "representation" of people like my friend.
And when people complained about it, Bronies suddenly claimed that Derpy was never supposed to be offensive to anyone - except she was a horrible stereotype. Dumb and clumsy just because she had a different facial expression.
"Derp-eyes" even get used in-show to express insanity. Twilight got them, Pinkie got them and that mentally ill pony also got them to showcase that they were "losing it".

Yes, there is Snails and he is slow. He also stands out because he is tall. But we have seen in-show that fillies come in many different sizes and shapes. Whereas in-show "derp-eyes" are linked to being fucked in the head while being a tall filly is not linked to anything (Fluttershy was a tall filly as well).

So, all in all, people got rightfully pissed because a lazy eyed pony was called "Derpy" and was made out to be an idiot. Not because she was a female pony that was an idiot. The lazy eye and the word "derp" were offensive, the stupid behaviour was already exhibited in-show by other female chars (Pinkie Pie, anyone?)

God, I'm such a nerd about this sparkle pony show *laughs at self*

I actually liked the finale better than the rest of s5. The third to last episode was probably my favourite episode of series five. There were still problems and certain things could have been handled better, things that were annoying, but overall I thought they wrapped the series up far better than their development, particularly in the last season, anticipated. I could have done without the final scene though.

I don't think men are harmed by it.

However, I do dislike the attitude itself, and think it would be better for everyone if sleeping around was simply not a big deal, regardless of the gender of the person doing the sleeping.

I don't think the "buffalos are native americans and HAVE to share their land with settler ponies" and the "you should believe in shit even though there is no scientific evidence" episodes weren't that charming.

Faust isn't some goddess. She always leaves her projects early on for no apparent reason and her Galaxy Girls stuff is just a rehash of FiM with some Sailor Moon thrown in for good measure.

It was cool of her to take on MLP, but as she has said herself, she thought the earlier gens were lacking - and still she took all Mane Six characters, even entire plot points from them.
This "Faust would have made everything better" mentality has to go. She's just a person.

They became SJW when they brought up the complaint.

You can just say "no" to your kid, yanno.
Hasbro isn't forcing you to give them money for ponies.

I know I can say no. I'm not sure her dad can, though...he's a bit of a spoiler.

Sisters of Battle are cooler than the Spess Mehreens, anyway. They kick just as much ass, and don't need all those gene mods to do it. >_>

Should have mentioned that. I mean if you're an adult and have casual sex but if you're a minor...better to wait until you're an adult really.

If somthing is wrong, its wrong. Pretending like its ok, or less wrong when it's not happening to you or people like you, (and the endless excuses people come up with to justify why it's different when it's happening to 'Them' instead of 'Us') shows a lack of empathy and compassion. The exact type of lack of empathy that has lead to the current situation.

Of course You'll have somthing to respond with to justify why it's ok, or why my point is invalid, and why it's ok to keep on with this particular double standard (has there ever been a double standard through out history that didn't have countless arguments that seem valid to to people benefitting from it?), but please do try to give it some thought from the other side of things before you post.

Seems the whole world would have been a less shitty place if we as a species could get over the 'Them and us' metalitiy.

I personally don't care about it but I've seen people call others out on using it before. I just thought it was ironic to see otakugal using it.

This comment makes me really sad. I will still read AMoL even if this spoiler takes away a big part of it for me...I can't imagine feeling like the entire book is completely ruined. These books mean something really important to me and it sounds like they do to you too.

MTE. When you think about the circumstances under which her name got warped, and how it changed from a heroine's name to a pun on her servile position, and the warped version is what they chose to print on the box… seems like there's something to have beef with regarding the figures.

Then again, maybe Brunhilde is trademarked. Those things can be tricky.
