Maybe play role playing games with yourself as an insert? You usually can't roleplay so detailed as to make your in-game avatar hate herself. Then maybe you can write fanfiction of yourself as that character and it'll be easier that way?

This.

I suggest Skyrim, Dragon Age, and Mass Effect.

Seconded.

Choose Skyrim was the most open-ended sort of roleplaying. You can't define your character a lot or form relationships, but she won't be bound by character perimeters for the most part.

Choose Mass Effect for pretty determined roleplaying. It'll be more like a personal variation of yourself as a space marine as opposed, but you'll have a lot of relationship and personal choices to make.

Choose Dragon Age: Origins for a mix between the two. A lot more varied in roleplaying options, but still plenty of relationships and choices to be had.

Someone already did it (http://norah.livejournal.com/131159.html)
So you can write that songfic in peace.

Or ... maybe it's possible that you're working out some issues through these drawerfic?

If you give yourself permission to do that? Well, then, instead of being a way for you to continue your self-loathing the stories can become a way to break out of it.

Good luck anon.
